The Elpas Outdoor Local Controller (ELC) is a programmable appliance that provides localized location awareness and network management in indoor and outdoor deployments without the need for a host Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) server.

The Controller delivers real-time, zone-level location detection of Elpas Active RFID Tags, manages the automated monitoring and control of the Elpas Receiver Network and provides onboard event transaction storage.

The Controller can also transfer location data to and from Elpas' Eiris Software Management Platform or using standard XML messaging to other applications for remote backup and control.
